Hello everyone, welcome to my blog….again! Not going to lie, I’ve redone my blog a million times ( no exaggeration). I was not planning on redoing it or actually being fully invested in it. However, with being quarantined at home, shorten shifts at work and my senior year in college ( finally!) around the corner, I feel like I have a lot of free time which I can use to invest in the blog that I really wanted but never really had time for. I think we tend to get so caught up with our lives, school, work, family, friends, that we tend to lose a piece of ourselves from time to time. I felt like that for a really long time. I was so busy with juggling school, work, and family, that I really did not have time for myself or even other people. However, with COVID-19, I feel like everyone is just stuck at home and this is a time to just take a step back and reassess, re-generate, and really refocus ourselves to what really matters.
When I first started blogging, I started it because I found it to be a great escape from stuff that was going on in my life. I loved it, people loved my content, and most importantly it made me feel good about myself and was a great distraction. Then, I started college. I got a term bill and I realized that I only have these couple of years to really invest in my education. That is what I did, I got a part-time job to help pay for college and other necessities, Between school work and working, I did not even have time for myself. Often, I would be doing school work on my way to school since I commuted by train! By the time I would come home, I would only have enough energy for some food, a shower, and maybe a tv show or homework. My first year was actual hell ( Maybe I will get into detail in another post), and then I switched to a more reputable school closer to where I live- Rutgers. I got an even better job which allowed me to have a bit more flexibility and meet some amazing people and also focus on school a bit better. Flash forward to the summer before my senior year- it is crazy to think I am a senior. Inshallah, I will be graduating from college in less than a year. I think it is the perfect time to invest in my blog and just enjoy what I like to do. They say your 20s are your most valuable years- either you can invest in it by making them memorable, traveling, investing in your future, OR you can waste them and have major FOMO later on. I love creating content, I love writing, trying new products, and just sharing my experiences so that maybe someone can get inspired or make them feel something good about themselves.
