One thing that this quarantine has taught me is that self care is necessary with or without a busy schedule. We tend to get so busy with our lives and taking care of others that we tend to forget we too need caring and a break from time to time. There is this misconception that self care requires a lot of time and attention when really self care can be something as simple as reading a book for 15 mins or going on a walk. The reality is, self care is very simple and not really that complex yet we make it complex. Here are some products I use that make it a bit easier or just add to my self care routine!
Exfoliating Mittens
So one thing that I regret not discovering earlier is Exfoliating gloves. Honestly, I was confused about the concept when I first got them because they look like regular gloves. However I think they are a total glove changer. You wear them when you are showering and use them to exfoliate your skin while in the shower. Your skin is softer because of the water which makes it an ideal time to get rid of the dead skin! I had really bad dry skin because I did not exfoliate properly and these have helped with my dry skin issue by exfoliating all the dead skin. I bought mine from Ulta which was a bit expensive for one but you can get 12 pairs for $12.

Eyebrow Razors
Remember like two years ago where everyone was shaving their faces with eyebrow razors? I remember it was such a huge trend but it actually worked. I typically just get my brows and upper lip- usually. But I have been waxing my entire face which is effective but it doesn’t do that great of a job. when you use these eyebrow razors, it also exfoliates your face so your face is much more smoother. I use the Tinkle eyebrow razors- I had heard so many people rave about these so I decided to try them out. I have used other razors before, but these are the best I have came across.

Fuzzy Headband/Fuzzy Headwrap
This one was something I did not think I needed until I tried it for myself. Sometimes just pulling your hair back into a bun is just not enough! I like to use these fluffy headbands when I am doing my makeup, doing a face mask, washing my face, and sometimes I just wear it around my house to keep my hair out of my face. They are super comfortable and Honestly it really helps with the entire process. They are also super easy to clean- I just pop it into the washer with the rest of my clothes and it comes out looking brand new.

Laniege Lip Mask
Okay I am going to be very honest, I thought this product was a complete gimmick until I tried it. I don’t really have dry lips but the bipolar weather, dehydration and poor diet has caused my lips to be dry lately. I got this as a sample from Sephora, and I will definitely be purchasing the full size version once I am done with my sample. It is so hydrating and it really makes a difference- you can see it after just one use. It takes 2 minutes to put on at night but makes such a huge difference. Sometimes I even put it on like while I am doing my face makeup and wipe it off right before applying my lipstick- especially drier formulas like the Kylie K matte liquid lipstick.
