Hey guys, so today I wanted to start a new series about how to get started and what it is like being a blogger/influencer. Now, I don’t really consider myself as a huge ~blogger~ but I am just starting out. I have been blogging for about 3-4 months and I think I have learned a lot since I started. When I first started out, I started from scratch. I did not have any idea as to how to begin or even where to begin Which is why I am starting this series to help those who may want to start their own blog. I am going to make this into a series and touch upon various aspects of how I got started and some tips and tools.
This is going to be part 1 of the series. Now before you get started with blogging, you have to understand why you want to blog and about what. I think I may have shared this before on my page but I actually had another blog before this one- actually a couple of them. My very first blog was called “ThatPakichic” – I was either in 8th or 9th grade when I started it. It went pretty well and it did pretty well for itself but it was forgotten and eventually I gave up on it because of school. I then started another blog before I started college because I missed it. That too was forgotten when I got busy with school and work.
Then May 2020 came around. My classes and work schedule was switched to remote following the state of emergency my governor had placed. I became super busy with school and work and since I was home so much more now, I started taking over some of the household responsibilities. Then came the end of the semester. Once exams and projects were over, I had nothing to do anymore and became super bored. I decided that maybe this is the best time to getting to things I actually enjoyed doing. I never really had time to do things I like. I started to create my blog. However, this time it was different. Before, I would just create a blog under word press for free. However, this time it was different. I was very much invested and I wanted to actually do this professionally. So I decided to purchase my domain and create my website.
I purchased my domain and started to create my website at the end of may with an anticipation date of June 1. I was able to create it and launch on the said dates. One thing I want to highlight is that blogging may look extremely easy and fun but it is much more than that. It takes a lot of work planning, writing posts, taking pictures, editing, and much more that goes into it. Don’t be fooled by the glam you see on social media- that glam sometimes takes hours of getting ready and also takes forever to get a perfect shot.
That is it for this post. I basically wanted to give you guys an idea as to why I got started and the work that goes into blogging. A lot of people think that blogging is super easy and you can become “famous” over night. That is a huge misconception. It takes months to get a stable amount of people visiting your blog and to understand your analytics. Let me know what you guys thing about this series and what you guys want me to talk about next!
