My Skincare routine

One of the main things people compliment me on is my skin. I just don’t see it but apparently it is pretty clear. Before, people would ask what I did or what I used to get it so clear, the answer is, I don’t do anything special- or at least I didn’t before. However, In the past few years I have started and maintained a skincare regime. I will not say my skin is perfect- because it is not. To be honest, no one has amazing skin it is impossible- there will almost always be something we don’t like or a zit here and there. I suffer from hyper pigmentation which is very common in south asian women. I also have a super oily T-zone and overall uneven skin tone. Today, I wanted to share my skincare routine and some amazing products that I am LOVING and have helped me with my skin.

Wishful Yo Glow Enzyme Scrub

So this product was definitely a splurge, I will not lie, but it is worth every penny! I use this daily to do a gentle face scrub on myself. At first, I thought it was not working because I had used it on wet skin but the key is to use it on dry skin! It literally scrubs away all the dead skin and crustiness. I have seen my skin become so much more even and brighter. On my recent trip to Pakistan, I broke out sooo much- like my entire face was covered. I used this when I came back and it really helped with clearing my skin up quickly. I am not going to say that this was the exact product that helped clear my skin, but it definitely helped in the entire process!

Tula The Cult Classic Purifying Face Cleanser

Okay this has been by far the most expensive face wash I have used but I love it! I bought it during Ulta’s Black friday sale for $15 so I was able to justify the price then. This is such a nice gentle cleanser and is super refreshing! I have used other gentle cleansers in the past and they have been way too gentle- like my skin just felt dirtier after using them. However, this product is everything you need in a daily cleanser! A little goes a long way so you do not run out of this product quickly. I have been using it for 2 months now, and it is still pretty full!

The Ordinary AHA 30% + BHA 2% Peeling Solution

I have raved about this particular product over and over again on my blog but it deserves all the hype! This is a chemical peel by the ordinary and the ingredients in it are known to help with hyper pigmentation and exfoliation- it is basically a chemical exfoliant. I use this about once a week on my skin. This is by far the most affordable product in my skincare regime, it cost less than $10 and it works amazing. I have seen some amazing results in the spam of just 2-3 weeks ( use it once a week for 10 mins). Now this is a strong chemical so I do recommend you do a test patch before you apply it all over your skin. Also, PLEASE follow the instructions, or else it may cause damage.

The Ordinary Niacinamide 10% + Zinc 1%

Okay so this product I use more so at night before bed! I actually use it when I wash my face and am about to go to bed. This serum is meant to help combat oiliness, acne, and uneven skin tone. I have seen a difference in my uneven skin tone after using this product. It has become significantly more brighter and a bit more even. I think the biggest benefit for me personally was that it really helped me with my oily T-zone. My T-zone is oil central so this really helped with the entire oil situation.

That is pretty much the main daily products I use in my skincare routine! I do use toners and sunscreen but I am currently experimenting with those so I did not include that in this post. I will keep you guys update though on those products! For now, I just wanted to share my constant products that I know work for me and are definitely worth it. I know that some of these are a bit expensive- trust me I would not spend so much money either but you do get quite a lot of product and they work amazing! Let me know if you guys have tried any of these products and what you think about them!
